This 2 part workshop is for ASOST Grantees and their partners that want to learn about service-learning.
July 15 & 22, 2020: Service-Learning 101 Part One and Two – (5hrs virtually broken into 2 sessions)
July 15- Part One: This session will help participants understand what service-learning is and isn’t. Participants will see examples of a variety of service-learning projects, across grade levels and disciplines.
July 22 Part Two: Participants will be introduced to what high quality service-learning is through the 8 National Service-Learning Standards for Quality Practice. They will also learn a “recipe” to use with students to implement high quality service-learning projects.
Participants must attend both sessions, if they sign up for this two part workshop!
*There will be a quick Tech Session for this series on July 14 2-2:20pm. If you can’t make this, you will need to contact the instructor to get directions on how to access and navigate the the course materials on CANVAS.
