Human Use of Natural Resources- Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary

Fourth through seventh grade students  learned about Earth and human activity, natural resources from the MA Audubon’s Drumlin Farm and Lowell Parks and Recreation staff.  They discovered and investigated needs/problems related to the impacts of human use of earth resources, specifically with respect to local food systems. They identified that the overuse of fossil fuels in food distribution and its contributions to greenhouse emissions is a problem. The students decided to do a WALK/BIKE/BUS campaign to offset fossil fuel use their community.
